40 firefighters battle blaze at two Cape Town factories

Cape Town Fire and Rescue Services say the fire is not under control as yet but is confined to the two affected buildings.

Forty firefighters were battling a fire that broke out in two factories in Mozambique Street, Killarney Gardens on Wednesday, Cape Town Fire and Rescue Services said.

Spokesman Theo Layne said one man from one of the factories sustained third degree burns.

He said six fire engines and four water tankers with 40 Firefighters were battling the blaze.

“The fire is not under control as yet but is confined to the two affected buildings. The cause has not been determined as yet.”
