Video footage shows a group of men struggling to open the gate of a home in Zwartkop, near Centurion during a failed home burglary.

A screenshot of the video.

In the video, captured on Monday, about three men are seen trying to enter the premises. CCTV footage from outside the house was shared on YouTube, and it shows the men parking a silver Chevrolet Cruze in the driveway, Rekord Centurion reported.

A man opens the passenger door, walks towards the gate and tries to force it open. The man is seen returning to the car several times with different burglary equipment after failing to enter the premises.

A second man gets out of the car from the backseat with more equipment to help his accomplice. After struggling for more than six minutes, the two jump back into the car and drive off empty handed.

Last month, two videos showing four men unsuccessfully attempting to break into a house in Edenvale, on the East Rand were uploaded on to YouTube.

The CCTV footage, which was captured in February, shows the men approaching the front entrance to the property before proceeding to use what appear to be crowbars to try and force open the metal gate.

After struggling with the security gate for a few minutes, the men run off momentarily before returning. They continue to take turns trying to open the gate before apparently giving up and driving away.
