The footage, which was captured last week, shows a motorcyclist crashing into a car that made an illegal U-turn, Rekord Centurion reported.

According to the Centurion Concerned Citizens, the accident happened last week on the Old Johannesburg Road.

“Again, a vehicle that broke the law by trying to do a U-turn over a solid yellow line almost cost a person his life,” the organisation said in a Facebook post.

The motorcyclist is believed to have survived the accident. More to follow.

This comes after CCTV footage surfaced last week, showing a bakkie driver being flung out of his car after his vehicle collided with a taxi at an intersection in Florida, west of Johannesburg.

The video shows the bakkie turning into right hand-side while the traffic light is orange. Soon after the bakkie turns, a taxi slams into it and the driver of the bakkie is flung out of the car.

The driver of the bakkie reportedly sustained severe injuries and was taken to hospital soon after.
