Stage 3 loadshedding for the weekend [Get your times here]
Eskom has shared that stage 3 loadshedding is set to run until 5am on Monday before being downgraded to stage 2 for the remainder of the week ahead.
The loss of an additional five generating units this morning has forced Eskom to implement Stage 3 loadshedding from 2pm this afternoon until 5am on Monday.
Stage 2 loadshedding will then be in force for the whole of next week.
The additional loadshedding tonight is required to manage and recover emergency generation reserves which have been utilised extensively over the past five days. Residents are encouraged to continue using electricity sparingly.
Ballito Grid:
Friday 5-7.30pm
Saturday 1-3.30am and again from 5-7.30pm.
Sunday 1-3.30am and 9-11.30am.
Stanger Grid:
Friday 5-7.30pm,
Saturday 9-11.30am and 5-7.30pm, and
Sunday 1-3.30am and 5-7.30pm.
