Dolphin Coast Squash League returns

The business league is social, with the aim of promoting local growth in the sport.

A successful return of the Dolphin Coast Squash (DCS) League last year has set the scene for an exciting competition later this month.

Last year’s league was the first since Covid-19 temporarily shut down the sport, and instantly saw high-level players back on the court.

Frank Bradford took the A section trophy, with Umar Hoosen finishing second. In the B section, John Howie grabbed honours, followed by Briley Paul.

The DCS Business League kicks off on March 23, which sees teams sponsored by and named after local businesses, who can sponsor a team for
R2 500.

CloudQuote, BallitoISP, Salt Rock Medical Centre, TWC Computers, Clippa Systems, ComProp, JB Insurance Brokers, BeeSeeWells Accountants, FS Gen and Branch Brigade were the 2022 sponsors.

The business league is social, with the aim of promoting local growth in the sport.

Newer players are paired with an experienced teammate and compete twice weekly in two pools, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Games start at 6pm and will be played over three months.

If you are interested in joining the league as a player or sponsor, you can reach out to the organisers at dolphincoastsquashza@gmail.com.

Funds raised go towards training coaches, club maintenance, youth development, hosting tournaments and assisting with travel to national events.
