Sunday Spoil: Blueberry and apple crumble

A sweet and fruity crumble that is ridiculously easy to whip up for the ultimate after lunch treat.

Serves 6

You’ll need: For the filling – 2 x 385g tins of pie apples; 1 cup fresh blueberries; 20ml sugar.

For the crumble – 250ml flour; 100g butter; 100ml sugar.

How to:

Preheat oven to 190°C.

Place pie apples into a 20 x 10cm ovenproof dish and spread the blueberries evenly between the apples

Sprinkle with the sugar.

Ina small mixing bowl, rub together the flour and soft butter until the mixture resembles fine crumbs. Stir in the sugar until well mixed

Spread the crumble evenly over the pie apple and blueberry mix pressing to finish. Bake for 60 minutes or until just brown on top

Serve with cream or ice cream.
