Magnite – more than a just a city commuter

SUVs and double-cab vehicles are extremely popular because of their versatility, but of course, they come at a price. For the Joe Average, the Magnite may just be the affordability and versatility the doctor ordered.

The cost of living and the price of mobility is forcing everyone to look at the multi-use capacity of one drives.

Your wheels must offer superb fuel consumption and the ability to handle well within the traffic in town, open road driving and well, it must be a mom’s tax, if you have a small family, par excellence.

The Maglite offers the aforementioned and more.

As a sub-compact, it offers space, 74kW of power and is available with either a manual or a CVT gearbox.

The Magnite’s three-cylinder engine is as frugal as it is powerful, with average fuel consumption of only 5.2l/100km on the manual transmission and 6.0l/100km on CVT gearbox.

With intuitive systems like ABS, EBD, traction control, and Nissan’s vehicle dynamic control (VDC), standard across the range, the Magnite is well-equipped to handle changing road surfaces and sudden changes in direction.

Another standard safety feature is Nissan’s intelligent hill start assist control which keeps the vehicle steady on an incline, preventing disaster on the slip of the clutch. For those open roads, the Nissan Magnite lets drivers take their foot off the pedal, with cruise control coupled with an adjustable speed limiter function coming standard across the range.

The cockpit offers Nissan’s 8-inch touch-operated infotainment system being the mantelpiece of the slick interior. Above offering seamless connectivity through wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, – the carmaker’s state-of-the-art integrated audio, navigation, and communication system – puts the heart and soul of the Magnite at the driver’s fingertips.

Boot space measures 336 litres which makes it well suited to the bustling Johannesburg city centre as to the twisty side roads of the Cape Winelands.
