Nurture iLembe’s sports day scores big for disability awareness

The event underscores a commitment to offer a platform for everyone, regardless of their physical condition, to take part in fun and engaging activities.

Bursts of energy and enthusiasm marked Nurture iLembe’s annual fundraising sports day last Friday as determined disabled participants displayed their remarkable skills.

The event was held in support of Casual Day, a campaign dedicated to raising awareness and funds for people with disabilities.

The public contributed by making a small donation of R20 for a sticker to support the campaign’s mission. Events like these underscore the rehabilitation facility’s commitment to the cause by offering a platform for everyone, regardless of their physical condition, to take part in fun and engaging activities.

This year’s theme, “I See You,” emphasised that every person, regardless of their circumstances, deserves to be acknowledged and valued.
