Update: Endangered bird eludes capture
Ezemvelo Wildlife and the Animal Anti-Cruelty League went out to capture the bird, but it had already taken flight

The vulture which was spotted at a business premises in Helpmekaar Road this morning (January 16) flew away before it could be captured.
The sizeable bird was sitting on the roof and business people suspected it may be injured.
Ezemvelo Wildlife, together with Animal Anti-Cruelty League workers, went out to capture the endangered bird. However, when they got there, it was nowhere to be seen.
It is believed to have been a Cape Vulture, which is definitely endangered and rare in this part of the world.
