BREAKING NEWS: House burns down in Blue Ridge Farm
Firefighters attempted to extinguish the flames before it could spread to neighbouring homes.
A fire broke out at a home in Blue Ridge Farm earlier this evening, (August 17).
The Fire Department control room received the call at around 4.30pm to attend to the fire.
Firefighters attempted to extinguish the flames before it could spread to neighbouring homes.
“When I arrived at the scene, I could feel the heat from about 70 metres away,” claimed a source.
The source said due to the structure of the house, there was no possible way to salvage any belongings, nor the home.

The source further confirmed approximately 16 000 litres of water was used to extinguish the flames, this included three fire trucks.
There were no injuries reported and an inquiry will be conducted.
The exact cause of the fire could not be confirmed at the time.
