The heavy snowfall of the last few days will be great as far as filling dams in the Ladysmith area

Many people have been saying that there hasn’t been much rain in the Ladysmith area lately.

With that in mind, the burning question on people’s lips is: How full are the dams surrounding Ladysmith?

We have decided to answer that question for you and provide you with the water levels in dams surrounding Ladysmith.

The snow that has fallen throughout the Drakensberg will help to increase the levels of these dams.

Spioenkop Dam is currently on 85.3%.

The Driel Barrage is on 102.6%, from the most recent reading.

Woodstock Dam in Bergville shows a percentage of 79% and Sterkfontein Dam 78.84%.

These levels will change during the course of next week, as the melting snow from the mountains will go through the river systems and fill up the dams.
