Update: Pit bull and crossbreed dog fight in street

Annamarie Koen of the AACL has confirmed that the fight took place in the road, with both dogs being out in the street after the pit bull accidentally got out of its yard

Speaking to the owners of the pit bull that was involved in a fight with a crossbreed dog on Thursday afternoon (August 17) in the Balsam Avenue area, this is what they had to say about the whole ordeal…

They say the dog wandered into their yard and then went out and was walking around on the pavement. A 72-year-old woman was going to close the main gate of the yard and did not notice the dog outside.

As she was opening the car shelter gate in the yard to go and close the main gate, the pit bull sped past her and out into the street. It chased the crossbreed dog and the two animals ended up fighting.

Yesterday (August 21), Annamarie Koen of the Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) went to the house where the Pit bull stays and says everything is in order. She says the dog is very playful and even plays with three cats. All of the pets stay together without any problems.
