To join the initiative, email your details to the NCCI’s Office Manager: sthebeandile@gmail.com to receive registration forms for expression of interest.

There is no denying people are living in hard times.

Recession, economic downturn and rising rates mean many residents find themselves over the proverbial barrel come month-end.

For the poor, sickly and unemployed, their suffering is magnified.

Bearing in mind the plight of the needy, the Newcastle Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) has set about establishing the Amajuba Development Corporation (ADC).

This initiative may be a game-changer for those who live without.

NCCI President, Sipho Sithole explained the ADC’s key performance areas were raising funds for local economic development, community development, job creation, poverty alleviation, educational tools and technology.

He believes this will greatly benefit the poor, sickly, disabled and unemployed.

“We call on government, local businesses, non profit organisations, academics and influential individuals to join this progressive initiative, to enhance development of our district.”

To join the initiative, email your details to the NCCI’s Office Manager: sthebeandile@gmail.com to receive registration forms for expression of interest.

Those who express interest will be invited to a business breakfast in November.

“The closing date for expressions of interest is November 10 at 4pm.”
