A fantastic Father’s Day treat at NAON – (Gallery)
Matthew Shunmugam, a well-known community member and an instrumental influence in the successes of NAON from its inception, addressed the crowd and shed light on the foundation of the organisation and its core principles.
The New Age Of Newcastle (NAON) hosted its Father’s Day function last Friday (June 15) at the Total Garage Hall.
Newcastle fathers were honoured in the fancy dinner and dance event.
Fathers, as well as their spouses, received glamorous gifts.

“We thank our donors and committee for contributing to the success of our function,” said Chairperson of NAON, Danny Bisnath.
“NAON is a non-profit organisation (NPO) and our future plan is to build a hall of our own to host events like this,” he explained.

“NAON does not have an age limit and anyone can become a member,” said Shunmugam.
“NAON members also provide meals to 30 learners at Suryaville Primary School on a weekly basis. Members volunteer their time to assist patients at the Ward 3 Warroom every Tuesday, where 165 patients receive chronic medication via its Medipost,” he concluded.
