Man knocked down by truck in Lyell Street

Traffic was obstructed until the scene was cleared

A man was hit by a truck on Tuesday night (September 4) in Lyell Street.

It is believed that the truck was travelling towards Game when the incident took place.

The pedestrian sustained injuries to his leg and was stabilised on scene before being taken to hospital.

Traffic was obstructed until the scene was cleared.

Police, Public Safety, emergency personnel and a towing service responded.

The driver of the truck stopped after hitting the pedestrian.
