Weekend of reminiscing for Estcourt High School Class of 1963

The gala dinner was held on Saturday night, with the old scholars marching into the venue to the same music when marching into the Memorial Hall at the school 55 years ago

The class of 1963 of Estcourt High School had their 55th school reunion recently.

Old scholars gathered at the Fern Hill Hotel in Howick on Friday night. Saturday was spent reminiscing and watching the rugby test match.

The gala dinner was held on Saturday night, with the old scholars marching into the venue to the same music when marching into the Memorial Hall at the school 55 years ago.

Local farmer Barry Symons was the Master of Ceremonies. The opening prayer was by Colin Andrews.

Other speeches were by Len Harris, head boy in 1963 and Dave Pay who came all the way from the United States of America to attend.
