WEATHER WARNING: Thunderstorms expected for Newcastle and surrounding areas this afternoon
Severe thunderstorms are expected for the Uthukela, Umzinyathi, Mpofana and Dannhauser areas, according to the South African Weather Service.

These showers are forecast to move eastwards as large hail, heavy downpours and strong winds are said to accompany the thunderstorms.
