Search for missing man comes to gruesome end
Dlamini appears to have been severely beaten, judging by the bruises on his body and the fact that his hands were bound with electrical cable.
The search for Sipho Samuel Dlamini of Nkande, Ncome, who was reported missing earlier this month, has come to a grim conclusion.
The body of the 52-year-old, who had last been seen on June 11 at 8pm test driving his vehicle, was found floating in the Ncome Dam on Saturday shortly after 10am.
Following his disappearance, Dlamini’s keys and vehicle were located.
However, there was no sign of his whereabouts and Mondlo SAPS appealed to the community for assistance, in locating the missing man.
Following the chilling discovery of Dlamini’s remains in the dam, a case of murder was opened.
Dlamini appears to have been severely beaten, judging by the bruises on his body and the fact that his hands were bound with electrical cable.
It has also been reported he had an open wound on his hands.
“We appeal to anyone with information, to contact Detective Constable Shongwe on 071 520 3831, or on the Crime Stop number: 086 001 0111,” said SAPS representatives.
