Centurion blessed on Mandela Day

Centurion, Mbowephi Kunene was one of the needy residents visited by Nquthu Mayor, SM Kunene on Mandela Day (July 18).

Mrs Kunene, who has recently turned 100, was one of the residents the Mayor and his delegation called on, also visiting 14 households in Wards 1, 2, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12 and 14 to hand over gifts and bring smiles to those in need.

“Nquthu Local Municipality recognises the importance of education and ubuntu, as two primary principles that [Nelson] Mandela prioritised. The municipality has always made sure it reaches every community for any assistance required, listens to the communities and engages them on every matters affecting their livelihoods,” said Cllr Kunene.
