Alma Mater International

Over 500 000 students around the world celebrate their Cambridge International results.

Across the entire Cambridge International exam series there was more than 1.4 million entries in 147 countries across the globe.

At the end of another difficult year for students and schools, thousands of students around the world can celebrate receiving their Cambridge International results for 2022. Our students’ achievements for the past year have shown resilience, and the amazing ongoing support of their teachers, families, and communities.  More than ever, we congratulate Alma Mater students for their hard work towards achieving these results.  They’ve shown great resilience and dedication to get to this point, and we are proud of everyone’s achievements.  They can now progress to new opportunities and experiences; we are confident of their skills, knowledge, and courage to succeed in every choice they make. Alma Mater had 73 candidates who sat their International Examinations for the IGCSE qualification.  They received 53 A*s, 113 As, 144 Bs and 134 Cs.  These are phenomenal internationally results; their performance is matched to the best in the world with an A* symbol being within the top 5% of the world. Alma Mater had 34 Cambridge Advance Level students who received 6 A*s, 12 As, 24 Bs, 24 Cs.  The Cambridge A Level is a very demanding curriculum, rated as the ‘Gold Standard’ for a global progression to some of the top Universities in the world.  We commend our ‘A Level students’ on their excellent results.

At Alma Mater International School, we are always searching for new ways for our students to cross boundaries between subjects, disciplines, and stages of education – including opportunities for them to learn skills they would typically only be exposed to at a tertiary level. Our International Project Qualification (IPQ) is one of the most valuable ways in which motivated students can start crossing those boundaries, and in doing so acquire an invaluable skillset. Students are not just taught educational theories but are given opportunities to distil insights from these theories and apply them to the real world. This ability to APPLY INSIGHT is often only found at a tertiary level, and students who master this ability are set apart from their peers. Completing this qualification provides students with real-world collaboration experience, a highly valuable qualification that will enhance their applications to world-class universities, and skills that will help them navigate the contemporary working world.  The Cambridge International Project Qualification (Cambridge IPQ) is an exciting project-based qualification, where students can develop skills by carrying out research into a topic of their choice. Taking the Cambridge IPQ allows students to demonstrate engagement with their chosen topic beyond preparation for an exam, helping them to stand out from the crowd in both university and job applications. This is a skills-based qualification, where students develop higher-order thinking skills that universities and employers look for, including analysis, evaluation, and synthesis, while also building their research, reflection, and communication skills. In the last examination sitting two of our students have received A* symbols for their Research Project.
