Brothers form pothole tag team
Two Mohlakeng brothers decided to be part of the solution and formed a tag team to help fix potholes.
Two brothers formed a tag team and started fixing potholes in and around Mohlakeng.
This is with the intention of keeping them busy while job hunting and also creating a better driving experience for motorists.
The Herald spotted the duo Musa Makebe and Lehlogonolo Makebe on Ralerata Street at the entrance of Mohlakeng recently and they spoke about how meaningful their contribution has become.

One of the brothers Musa Makebe said they started filling up the potholes as early as December.
“We came to the realisation that there are a lot of potholes in and around Mohlakeng and we were really bothered by this. We then decided to be part of the solution and started filling up the potholes with sand. We formed a tag team and while one is filling up the potholes, the other is busy collecting sand to ensure that we cover as many potholes as we can.
“This is simply with the purpose of trying to give motorists a better driving experience and provide some level of safety for road users,” said Makebe who added that motorists have expressed how thankful they are for their efforts and how they are making a difference.

He added that he and his brother are constantly doing this due to the fact that the recent rains sometimes wash away their efforts.
While the two remain jobless for now, they are in the market for employment and said that this helps them stay positive and not enter into depression due to unemployment.
