Mrs SA semi-finalist passionate about climate change

Mrs SA semi-finalist Mary Mphaga (33), from Proclamation Hill, is a wife and mother of two children.

Mphaga described herself as a free-spirited person who enjoyed the simple things in life.

“I am very passionate about creating awareness around climate change and teaching society about behavioural change in this regard,” said Mphaga.

“I’ve been married for 11 years and I am a former marketing coordinator.”

Mphaga said she entered Mrs SA because she wanted to be an upstanding example to young married women.

She wanted to make them see being a working, happily married woman with kids was an achievable goal.

She said she wanted to hold workshops and create an institution of sisterhood for married women where they could all share their experiences and impart knowledge.

She said the Mrs SA platform would help her achieve that.

The top 100 semi-finalists will be reduced to the top 25 finalists on 28 April.

Charity is her passion:
