Top SA artists collaborate for the Warm Winter Musiekfees at Sun City

In the mood for a day out with the family, some good music and of course, delicious food? Then the Warm Winter Musiekfees, happening at Sun City on 29 May is just the event for you.
Taking place at the new events venue, Sun Park, the music festival boasts some of South Africa’s biggest names in music. The line-up includes Bobby van Jaarsveld, Die Heuwels Fantasties, ADAM, Marno van der Merwe, Pieter Smith, Jannie Moolman, Dozi, Pieter Koen and Talana Vuuren.
Produced and staged by Sun City and MPM (Musiek Profile Management) the Warm Winter Musiekfees will have an authentically South African feel and will showcase the diversity and energy of the country’s very best Afrikaans pop and rock entertainers.
Music lovers will be treated to an afternoon of superlative entertainment, a vibrant beer garden and traditional Afrikaans food fare. The festival will start at12:00 and conclude at around 18:00.
Some of the highlights festivalgoers can look forward to is the 90-minute show, Trippel3, featuring Dozi, Pieter Smith and Jannie Moolman. The show combines their most memorable songs and covers of other well-known hits. They will each perform solo and as a trio in a toe tapping medley of Afrikaans, English and Zulu songs.
In a special tribute show, Dozi will also bring to life the sing-along songs of the evergreen band, Credence Clearwater Revival. This will be followed by energetic performances by Bobby van Jaarsveld, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Marno van der Merwe, Pieter Koen and ADAM.
In between, festivalgoers can look forward to a variety of solo artists bringing their special blend of music to the festival.
“We are turning up the heat this winter with our first ever Warm Winter Musiekfees. This promises to be one of the highlights of our events calendar with some of the country’s best-known artists and performers on the bill,” says Cecile Brody, entertainment manager at Sun City.
Tickets sell for R250 per person and are available at Computicket.
