GALLERY: Fun golf day in the east to raise much-needed funds

Arno Jordaan hosted his annual golf day to raise money towards a few heartwarming charities.

Local celebrities and friends came together in Pretoria on Wednesday to take part in a special event that lies close to the heart of Afrikaans singer, Arno Jordaan.

A meaningful and special golf day was hosted by Jordaan in the name of helping the less fortunate.

The golf day took place in the warm winter sun at the Woodhill Country Club, with many participants excited for a special performance by Jordaan himself, and a few close friends in the industry.

The goal of this worthy cause was to raise funds and awareness towards charities that Jordaan supports like the Jump Charity Foundation and Caring Daisies who all had stood on the golf course.

After a fun-filled day in the sun enjoying a round of golf, some cocktails, finger foods and other refreshments, all 144 players enjoyed a laid-back awards ceremony at the clubhouse. An auction was held with wondrous prizes like a break-away weekend and sports memorabilia among others.

The day’s proceeds will be distributed among the foundations’ beneficiaries.
