NOTICE: Parts of the north without electricity

The planned maintenance was expected to affect the Jacaranda and Conjalo substation.

Parts of Pretoria North, yet to be named, were set to be without electricity due to maintenance at two substations on Tuesday.

“This will affect parts of Pretoria North but the department could not say which parts exactly,” ward councillor Yolanda Duvenhage noted.

The planned maintenance was expected to affect the Jacaranda and Conjalo substation.

Residents who have received a letter from the metro were expected to be affected by the blackout.

“If you received the letter, you will be affected today between 08:00 and 16:00,” Duvenhage said.

In the letter, residents were advised that work at the substations would be completed as soon as possible.

Residents were also advised to treat electrical points as live at all times.
