Students from the ChaMo dance school have impressed with a number of awards in a recent competition.
The students received 37 medals for group and solo dances at the Dance Fusion dance competition in Pretoria at the end of August.
The school also received two gold, nine pro-silver, nine silver, nine pro-bronze and eight bronze medals.
“We are very proud of all our dancers who recently, took part in the Dance Fusion dance competition in Pretoria,” Chanell Moffat, owner of ChaMo told Rekord.
ChaMo is a dance school with about 28 students ranging in age from three to 14. It offers a variety of dance classes including acrobatics, ballet, contemporary, freestyle, hip hop, jazz, musical theatre, tap and adult dance fitness.

Moffat said she was especially proud of four of her dancers who also received special awards from the judges for a variety of outstanding elements of their performances.
“The ChaMo dancers made us very proud with ample 1st, 2nd and 3rd placings as well. Most of our dancers who took part in the competition are beginners and novice dancers.
“Congratulations to all the ChaMo dancers’ achievements.”
