Man arrested after body parts found in east

The suspect has since been denied bail.

A man has been arrested in connection with a murder in Skierlek informal settlement, east of Pretoria.

Boschkop police spokesperson Constable Yeroboam Mbatsane said the suspect was charged with intimidation and murder this week.

“The arrest comes after human parts were discovered in Skierlek earlier this month. The rest of the body was later found in Eersterust,” he said.

The suspect appeared in court on Tuesday, for a bail application which was denied. He will appear again on 20 February 2020, Mbatsane said.
