Man killed as car rolls in Centurion

The man had already succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead on the scene.

A man in his 40s died Thursday night when his vehicle rolled on Rabie Road in Centurion. ER24 emergency service spokesperson Russel Meiring said when paramedics arrived on the scene at 20:12, they found the vehicle upright at the bottom of an embankment next to a river.

“On closer inspection, medics found the body of the driver lying in the back of the vehicle. Unfortunately, the man had already succumbed to his injuries, nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead on the scene,” said Meiring.

He said the details surrounding this incident were not yet known, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
