Global Pizza Challenge: Winner Fortunato from Forti Grill & Bar, Sun Arena

The competition has been running for over a decade with numerous professional chefs involved in organising, judging and managing the events GLOBALLY.

In partnership with the accredited Chefs associations spread across the globe, the Global Pizza Challenge (GPC) was inaugurated in 2009 by a few professional chef friends with a passion for Pizza.

With Pizza growing in popularity all around the world at a staggering rate, the chefs wanted to create and develop an international platform for countries to showcase their Pizza making skills.

The competition has been running for over a decade with numerous professional chefs involved in organising, judging and managing the events GLOBALLY.

Each recipe goes through an initial online judging process where after the top recipe owners are selected to take part in the cook-off event in their country.

The winner of each country will participate in a grand final where the GLOBAL CHAMPION IS CROWNED.

Our very own restauranteur Fortunato from Forti Grill & Bar took the honours this year.

This is not just a mean feat and on top of it all, he is a Pretorian.

Fortunato winning pizza has a base of tomatoes, cheese herbs, a Whole Lobster, calamari, prawns a touch of garlic and of cause (his very special ingredient) passion …. No wonder he took the title: The winner of the Global Pizza Challenge.

The pizza comes in a full-size @R450.00 and pizza connoisseurs agree that this pizza deserves the total of Best Global Pizza Challenge winner.
