New SA-bound Subaru Outback details released
Slated to become available in SA in May 2021, the new Subaru Outback will be offered in Mzansi in two trim levels.
The folks at Subaru South Africa have released detailed information regarding their all-new Outback SUV model.
Slated to become available in SA in May 2021, the new Subaru Outback will be offered in Mzansi in two trim levels; Field and Touring and according to the Japanese marque, it is the most advanced, most capable and safest car in the brand’s history.
Powering the range is a 2.5-litre naturally-aspirated boxer engine with 138 kW and 245 Nm paired with a Lineartronic CVT transmission plus a Symmetrical AWD system.
From a design point of view, the Field derivative adopts a more rugged design where the Touring has more urban trim accents.
Making its debut is the new Hands-Free Tailgate and DriverFocus™ Distraction Mitigation System.
The new Outback comes fitted with a new 11.6-inch portrait/vertical touchscreen with smartphone-familiar swipe, drag and touch features. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as 4 x USB ports are standard on both Outback grades.
Safety comes in the form of the latest generation of EyeSight which includes Autonomous Corrective Steering and improved lane-keeping,
The all-new Subaru Outback will be available from all Southern African dealers from 1 May 2021.
