Brain Harmonics uses neurofeedback to help people with problems such as…

• Stress and anxiety
• Depression
• Unresolved emotional issues
• Learning disorders
• Problems with sleep
• Post traumatic stress disorder
• Anger, frustration and irritation
• Lack of motivation
…and many other problems and disorders

What causes problems and disorders?

Some problems and disorders occur when our brains don’t produce appropriate brainwaves because they get out of balance – due to stress, information overload, illness and other factors.

Neurofeedback can help with wellness and performance optimization

The good news is that neurofeedback has a high success rate in helping people rebalance their brains. Think of your brain as the pilot of an aeroplane, your nervous system as the controls and the body of the plane as your body. Making sure the pilot is in good shape (i.e. ‘balanced’) is the first step to harmonizing the whole body. After that you can work towards wellness and performance optimization.

Brain Training Sessions

Brain Harmonics brain training sessions consist of the following:

1. Assessment: Each of our brains is unique. We find out what your brain patterning looks like and how it operates when you are resting and busy. To do this we place non-invasive electrodes on your head to measure the activity in your brain.

2. Discussion: We then discuss the assessment results and your aims, and we set out a plan for neurofeedback training sessions.

3. Sessions: You perform tasks from a computer while you are given immediate feedback on your brain activity.

Your brain wave speeds (delta, theta, beta, etc.) are programmed in as certain sounds. For example, delta brainwaves are heard as different ranges of drums, theta brainwaves as bass and beta brainwaves as guitar – everybody’s brain plays a different tune. This helps your brain to hear itself and it can tell if it needs to slow down or speed up certain frequencies in certain brain lobe locations.

We track your brain activity by means of state-of-the-art software. Feedback on the brain activity (‘rewards’) is given as sounds (e.g. beeps) and visual cues. When your brain hears itself and registers these rewards it is able to make changes to patterns that it may be stuck in.
