Approximately 1 200 learners from various schools across Limpopo attended the provincial KFC Mini Cricket Festival, which was held at the Polokwane Cricket Club on October 12.

There were learners from schools that included Magakantshe Primary School, Laerskool Potgieterus, Mphareng Primary School, Pepps and Unicorn Primary School.

One of the highlights of the festival was when Unlimited Titans players, Rowan Richards and Ethy Mbhalati taught the youngsters the finer skills of becoming a professional player.

The players also signed autographs, gave coaching tips and had their photographs taken with the aspiring young KFC mini cricketers.

The KFC Mini Cricket programme has an estimated 100 000 children actively taking part around the country, with dedicated coaches sharing their passion for the game by helping the young boys and girls get exposed to the game from an early age.
