POLOKWANE – Mickey and Minnie Pre-school hosted a fashion show with a twist on Friday.
Each teacher designed and made clothes for two children from their class. The clothes were made from all sorts of refuse, including newspapers, plastic, bottle caps and even straws.
The three judges, Colleen Liddle, Maryke van Emmenis and Liesel Jacobs, had a hard time choosing the winner, who emerged as teacher, Mirié Jansen van Rensburg, with Rethabile Mogale wearing the winning outfit she designed.
Each child was rewarded with a chocolate, and were told that they were all little winners.
Freda Grobler, principal of the school, said the teachers made her extremely proud. “I want to thank each and every parent for coming today,” she said.
