Help police find “fake’ cop
The search for a 39-year-old man, who was recently caught for allegedly impersonating a police official, but escaped from police custody at the Polokwane police station last Thursday, continues.
POLOKWANE – The search for a 39-year-old man, who was recently caught for allegedly impersonating a police official, but escaped from police custody at the Polokwane police station last Thursday, continues.
It is alleged that the man reported for duty as a police official at the Polokwane police station in 2012 and transferred to Seshego police station about a year ago.
Two criminal cases were opened against the man, being impersonating a police official and escaping from police custody.
Col Ronel Otto, provincial police spokesperson said the suspect can be linked to other investigations which include cases of rape and common robbery committed in the Boschkop area during May 2010.
He is going by the names of Alex Matsobane, Tsepho Maake or Mailula.
