[IN PICTURES] Limpopo Toyota Knights Braai Competition 9th round

Each team served up a main meal of beef and well as a delicious dessert.

POLOKWANE –  On Monday, 15 August, teams Standard Bank, Absa and Toyota Financial Services had the opportunity to impress the judges in the 9th and final qualifying round of the Limpopo Toyota Knights Braai Competition before the semi-finals next month

The judges for the evening were: Ryno Jardin, Dirk Liebenberg and Nelius Smit as guest judge.

Osie van Staden and Alan Harrison from Standard Bank served a rib-eye with cabbage-kardoesies, blue cheese and peppadews. Dessert was a flapjack, banana-special.

Martin van Onselen and Kobus Bekker from Absa served a beef fillet with mushroom sauce and for dessert a brown pudding served with strawberries.

The winning meal was served up by Christo van den Heever and Bergh van Rooyen from Toyota Financial Services.

Main meal:

Rib Eye Carpetbagger with fresh oysters, smoked oyster, canned figs, blue cheese and mushrooms Shiitaki

Pap ” surprise ” with fresh tomato and dried tomato sheba

Caramelized carrots

Dessert:

Chocolate Fondant

Raspberry coulis

Fresh Raspberries

 

“The semi-finals are set to take place on 3, 10 and 17 September with the finals on National Braai Day, 24 September. The winners will be announced on 30 September,” says Dirk Liebenberg, judge and organiser of the event.
