Richard Bilisii, chairperson of the Mzansi Athletics Club said runners from various athletic clubs in the province believe Rufus stands a good chance of winning the race.

“He has been consistent in previous years. He finished most of the Comrades marathons in the top five and has what it takes to win the race. He looks fit and sharp and as the club, we are rooting for him to bring the trophy.”
