New Hyundai i20 N Line debuts looking all fresh
The N Line adds just cosmetics, more like what the R Line is to the Volkswagen brand.
The next-generation Hyundai i20 N was revealed in February this year and while we have fallen in love with what it has to offer, the Korean marque seems to have something more to fall in love with.
The i20 N Line, not to be confused with the fully-fledged N Performance model, adds just cosmetics, more like what the R Line is to the Volkswagen brand.
On the outside, it comes fitted with sporty visuals such as a more aggressive body kit, the front and rear bumpers have been tweaked. It rides on bespoke 7-inch alloy wheels that feature a two-tone look.
Colour options include; Phantom Black, Aurora Gray, Brass, and Polar White, an optional two-tone Phantom Black roof is available, offering even more scope for personalisation.
Inside, the Hyundai i20 N Line comes with a pair of sporty front seats as well as an N-branded steering wheel.
There is a red stitching, metal pedals as well as a leather-wrapped gear shift knob with red inserts plus an N badge.
Power is likely to be carried over from the standard i20’s powertrain range that includes; a 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine with 62 kW mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
An optional 1.0-litre GDi turbo three-cylinder engine with either 74 kW or 88 kW will likely be on offer. The engine can be had with a 48-volt mild-hybrid powertrain.
A full-blown i20 N model is slated to go on sale in Europe in 2021.
