Toilets at clinic are dirty

Clinic in Trichardt is neglected by government.

TRICHARDT – The state of the local clinic does not impress patients and staff working at the clinic.

According to staff members, the refuse does not get removed as often as it should be and they have to clean up after the refuse removal trucks leeve.

“They mess and just leave it,” said a staff member.

Employees try to keep the clinic clean, but it is difficult if they get no co-operation from the State.

The toilets that the patients must use, are another headache.

They are so dirty that most of the patients rather hold out than using them.

The Ridge Times and the Echo asked the head of Marketing and Communications of the Govan Mbeki Municipality for comment regarding the toilets and refuse removal, but he referred the newspaper to the Department of Health.

The Department of Health has not commented at the time of going to press and their comment will be published in next week’s issue.
