Community prays for moral regeneration

Members of the pastors forum attended in their numbers

The Lekwa Municipality held a prayer meeting on moral regeneration at the Sakhile Hall on 5 May.

Members of the pastors forum attended in their numbers.

The meeting was aimed at addressing social ills and restoring peace and unity in the community.

Mr Linda Dhlamini, Lekwa mayor, addressed the Sakhile residents, saying it is important for the community to stand together and fight against poverty and unemployment.

According to him, political leaders must serve the people that elected them and not focus on their personal interests.

He said religious leaders also have a role to play in ensuring that the municipality is functional.

“Churches must pray for the political leaders to do the right thing,” Mr Dhlamini said.
