Car takes out wall after misjudgement
Vehicle crashes through wall in early morning traffic.

At approximately 8am on 4 September a car crashed through a wall at the corner of Corlett Avenue and George Ross Street.
The catalyst for the accident was an incident at the intersection of Corlett Avenue and Main Reef Road when the driver of a white BMW travelling from Ontdekkers Road wanted to turn right into Main Reef Road. As the traffic light turned orange the BMW was already halfway into the intersection.
Another vehicle – a Chevrolet Sonic – travelling on Corlett Avenue towards Ontdekkers Road allegedly increased speed to go through the orange light. As the driver saw that she was not going to make it, she decided to swerve left to avoid crashing into the turning BMW and to stop against a tree, but instead crashed through a residential wall.
No one was injured and although ER24 was on the scene JMPD was not.
