Buitendags celebrate the diamond years

Horizon View — Monty and Elsie Buitendag celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary (diamond anniversary) on Sunday 23 January. Their son, Chris Buitendag shared the details with the Record.

“Their wedding day was on Saturday 23 January 1954.

“They have six children, of which three are sons and three daughters,” he explained, and chuckled when he said, “although mom and dad always say they feel like they’ve had thirteen children”.

“They also are proud to have thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.”

The Buitendag children wish their parents all the best for the future.
