Reea residents do it for themselves
CRAIGPARK - The Reea Foundation provides a space for people with epilepsy and mild neurological disorders - and opportunities for entrepreneurial skills.
Reea residents Cedric and Paul have kept busy with their own small businesses at the foundation.
Gregor Heidemann, the foundation’s marketing manager, said, “Cedric does a fine job of washing cars and cleaning the interiors at a very reasonable price.”
The enterprising resident set up his car wash outside the foundation’s bookshop, while Paul found a home for his furniture restoration skills in the foundation’s workshop.
Heidemann said Paul could repair garden furniture, riempie-work chairs, couches and wooden furniture. He was also able to re-upholster furniture, as well as sand and seal decks and garage doors.
