Experience the magic of street culture

JOHANNESBURG – Str Crd returned to Johannesburg for its fourth year, with a bang! The underground event which was literally held underground at Constitution Hill showcased the very best of street fashion, food and SA's finest talent.

Fashionistas, foodies and urban culture addicts turned up in their hundreds to celebrate the fourth annual Str Crd on the weekend. Constitution Hill housed the event on various platforms including an underground parking lot, a skate park and other stages around the venue.

Clothing brands from all over South Africa such as Palladuim shoes, Butan clothing, SMB’s BAPS clothing range, Lee and many others were showcased and displayed for purchase and marketing opportunities. The Ayashisa Amateki team even invited the public to personalise sneakers just to get the street culture out there and sift out the talents for future brand investors.

“The magic of street culture is the ability to bring together people from everywhere to revel in the great things that the streets can offer. Street fashion in South Africa is coming into its own and not so much following the strict guidelines set out by the Americans,” said Str Crd attendee Anne Vroks.

One of the biggest highlights of the festival was no doubt Cassper Nyovest’s new album launch, which was a surprise to guests, who were then invited to continue the party at an undisclosed secret location.
