Netcare Milpark Hospital commits to cooperate with SAPS to solve shooting mystery

Netcare Milpark Hospital will offer counselling services to the affected family and witnesses.

SAPS investigations surrounding the fatal shooting of a 45-year-old man at Netcare Milpark Hospital’s parking lot on October 1 continue.

Gauteng police spokesperson Captain Tintswalo Sibeko said, “The incident occurred after the victim allegedly visited a friend at the hospital.

The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting, and the motive is still unknown.”

Lynne O’Connor, the national spokesperson of Netcare, extended her condolences to the family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.

“While we cannot share further details, the hospital is committed to assisting the police with their investigation.

The hospital will offer counselling services to the family and anyone who witnessed the incident,” said O’Connor.
