Stonecroft celebrates 35 years
The organisation was started in Port Shepstone in 1979.
WOMEN from all parts of the South Coast joined Stonecroft Ministries’ 35th birthday celebrations at Port Shepstone Country Club recently.
In attendance were four of the directors, Colleen Smith, Carol Ratcliffe, Elaine Daly and Jill Sumption.
All the tables were festively decorated and the winners of the most attractive tables were Vanessa Howard-Tripp, Ria Hackland and Erica Lutge.
Johan Buitendach shared his singing talent with the women. The sound engineer Conway van Aardt, and Audrey Arneson, who have both attended Stonecroft Ministries’ monthly meetings on the South Coast from the very first one, were issued with a 35 year service award and a 35 year regular attendance award respectively.
Elaine Daly said that Stonecroft Ministries was started by Helen Duff Baugh in the1930s. She wanted to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The branch in Port Shepstone duly became one of an international network.
All women in and around Port Shepstone are welcome to attend the monthly meetings.
The next meeting takes place on Friday, August 29. Proceeds will go to the printing of Bible literature. The guest speaker will be Glenda Schutgens. For more information contact Antoinette at 039 6812733.
