Festive joy for sick children

Little ones in hospitals received a wonderful Christmas surprise.

CHILDREN receiving care in hospitals under Ugu district received Christmas gifts after being visited by local leaders.

Now in its third year, this annual event is a public and private partnership between Ugu district municipality, its family of local municipalities and sponsors that include Impi Bikers Motor Cycling Club, SMG South Coast and South Coast Toursim. Other partners in the project were the Department of Health and LoveLife.

Hospitals visited included St Andrew’s in Harding, Murchison, Port Shepstone Regional and GJ Crookes in Scottburgh.

Ugu district mayor Ntombifikile Gumede thanked sponsors for their role in the project, stressing the importance of the private sector working hand-in-hand with government.
