Sheppie Lions ‘cabinet meeting’ proves fruitful
Several Port Shepstone Lions and Lion Ladies attended the fellowship evening.
Port Shepstone Lions hosted the third Lions District 410-C cabinet meeting of the Lionistic year at its clubhouse in Umtentweni recently. The meeting was attended by Lion members from various Lions Clubs in KZN.
Port Shepstone Lions Club president Denis Meyer said that quarterly cabinet meetings are held at different venues around the district.

“The purpose of a district cabinet is to assist, coordinate and promote the general welfare of Lions clubs and their members, and to assist the District Governor in performing the duties of that office,” explained Denis.
“At these meetings, the District Governor and the cabinet officers have the opportunity to report on the general progress and performance of their respective portfolios throughout the district. Financial administration, membership, leadership, service projects (including international programmes) were discussed and decisions were made regarding the implementation of various district projects and programmes.”
