He’s looking forward to rolling out a ‘welcome’ campaign using advertising boards in the town, promoting not just the business but the entire area.

Sea Accommodation’s website is focused not only on advertising letting accommodation that’s available, but also on promoting tourism on the coast in general.

“It’s a lot more than just a holiday accommodation website, it’s more like a tourism website, with loads of information on what to do – and where – on the coast, with a look also at what to do inland, or on a rainy day,” he said.

He felt the new-look, easy-to-use website had numerous advantages.

“The on-line book calendar is live, with costs and fees easy to see and find. You can see almost straight away that your booking has been confirmed,” he said.

Jo-Anne Wentzel, chairman of the Margate Business Association, congratulated Johan and his staff on their successful year and wished them well for the future.
