Forklift damages car parked in Sheppie street

The woman is grateful that she was not in the vehicle.

An Ugu District Municipality employee received a nasty shock when a forklift damaged her year-old luxury vehicle in Port Shepstone last Friday afternoon.

The employee had parked her car outside the municipality and gone into the municipal offices.

A few minutes later a forklift, loading bags of cement onto a truck, tipped over – complete with its load of cement – and smashed into her vehicle.

No injuries were reported, and the owner of the vehicle said she was grateful that she had not been in the car at the time.
