First race of canoe series done and dusted

A total of four races make up the KZN Marathon Canoe Series which will culminate in the KZN Marathon Championships later this year.

THE KZN Marathon Series Race 1 was held at Toti Canoe Club in Lower Illovo on May 4. Young and old paddlers, from U10 boys and girls to grand master entrants, took to the Illovo River to show their skill and grit in their respective races under perfect weather conditions.

This KZN Marathon Series Race 1 was the first of four and will culminate in the KZN Marathon Championships later this year. The KZN Marathon Series Race 2 will be held at Durban’s Blue Lagoon on May 11, starting at 09:00.
